Okay, so it's been quite a while since I updated this online journal. I/We, have been very busy with work and of course preparing for our big day. We went to several Bridal Fairs and I can say that Bridal Fairs offer pretty cheap deals when it comes to suppliers :D 

Anyway, to start updating this, let me begin with the venue:


So first, i chose to check on Hotels --why? I thought it can be pretty cheap because it got everything you need. From the wedding proper preparation and up to the reception you will be in one place. So what I did was, I sent emails to Cocoon Boutique and Luxent hotel. Both Around QCs because the church will be in QC as well. And below are their rates guaranteed for 150-170pax):

BUFFET SERVICE

• International Menu 1 P102,400.00 for the first 80 guests, P980 per person in excess of 80
• International Menu 2 P118,400.00 for the first 80 guests, P1180 per person in excess of 80
• International Menu 3 P134,400.00 for the first 80 guests, P1380 per person in excess of 80

For Luxent Hotel (they have pretty much the same inclusions):

• International Wedding Buffet  --First 100 pax Php 165,000.00 net, in excess of 100 pax Php 1,380 per person
• Balikbayan Wedding Buffet --First 100 pax Php 175,000.00 net, in excess of 100 pax Php 1,480 per person
• Pacific Wedding Buffet  --First 100 pax Php 185,000.00 net, in excess of 100 pax Php 1,580 per person
• Japanese Wedding Buffet --First 100 pax Php 205,000.00 net, in excess of 100 pax Php 1,780 per person

And so my Fiance said it's pricey, so he asked me to check on  other venues. 


I inquired to 55 Events place because i saw them online and find the place okay naman.

This was actually okay, but of course the 'husband-to-be' wants to check on other venues.

Again, I saw another one online --Light of Love Events place. I got interested this place because of the marble set up and  the garden venue :)

Another on our list is Ibarra Venues, it was actually recommended by my Coordinator because he did a lot of events there.

Take note that I did not do any ocular on all the venues that I asked for rates, except for this one:

Oasis Manila -- I know Oasis Manila because during my college days, I used to take Aurora Blvd to go to school and they are located few blocks away from LRT Gilmore station. Then Badjo told me to check this because his Ninong Arnold attended an event here before. And so we went there since it's relatively near Cubao. We were able to talk to Jamie Lisbo and explained the rates. They have three venues: The Orchard --which accommodates up to 200 pax and has view of both the gardens and the city. The Verandah --accommodates 350 pax and boasts of a huge open balcony and a commanding view of the gardens and ponds. And The Pavillion --Accommodates 400 pax and has an all-around view of the gardens.

The husband to be fell in love with the place, so we have decided to finally consider Oasis Manila. Our chosen Wedding Date was also available, except for the Pavilion. So we initially signed for Orchard because our initial guestlist is 150. Later on, we have decided to upgrade on The Verandah because we have considered the other suppliers (photobooth, mobile bar, candy buffet etc.). Tho I would say that I liked the drappings of Orchard, we can sacrifice a small place kasi hindi na sya maganda tignan and we dont want na magsiksikan ang guests . :)
